The Amantadin Symmetrel medicine was approved by the Food and Drug Administration of US in October 1966 as a prophylactic agent against Asian influenza and eventually received approval for the treatment against influenza virus in adults. The Amantadin Symmetrel drug is fast effective and quick reactive against various bacteria’s that cause Flu in human body. In the year 1969 the Amantadin Symmetrel drug was discovered by accident that the medicine is very much helpful in reducing the future symptoms of drug induced extra pyramidal syndromes and Parkinson’s diseases. The Amantadin Symmetrel pills are used as monotherapy or together with L DOPA for treating LDOPA related motor fluctuations and D LOPA related dyskinesias. According to several clinical trails made by Dr William Singer of Harvard University it has been proved that low dose amantadine has been successfully used for the treatment of ADHD problems.

The Amantadin Symmetrel drug has been shown to be very much effective in the treatment of SSRI induced anorgasmia in some people who are struggling with the problem. One of the major disadvantages of the medicine is that it appears to be a weak NMDA receptor antagonist and an anticolinergic. The Amantadin Symmetrel drug is a fast effective one and therefore the patient should not take it in huge quantities. Manufacturer of this medicine introduced it as a remedy for Parkinson’s disease and sold in different dosages. The patient should consult a doctor for taking the medicine in adequate quantity for getting the maximum result.
